The latest issue of British Worker – the paper of Solidarity Trade Union – is out now!
Issue 7 looks at the reasons behind the recent major public sector strikes. It notes that civil servants, health and education workers are angry at Cameron and Clegg’s plans to force them to work longer, pay more into their pensions and get less when they retire.
British Worker says that this attack on public service pensions is only one part of the Government’s austerity agenda: ‘They also want ordinary working people to pay for the mistakes and greed of those casino capitalists who brought on the current economic crisis.’
It also looks the claims by the Con-Dem Government that – when it comes to austerity measures – ‘we’re all in this together’. And it exposes the fact that they’ve no intention of making the bankers, fat cats and speculators help us out of the mess they created.
British Worker concludes that the policies of Cameron and Clegg are ‘unfair and unjust’!
